About the service
ICON OOP is a free, browser-based tool for searching, customising and downloading SVG icons and brand logos drawn from open-source icon sets. It is provided at no cost and without any account requirement.
Using the icons
The icons available through ICON OOP come from third-party open-source projects, each with its own licence - Simple Icons (CC0), Lucide (ISC), Tabler and Phosphor (MIT), and Material Symbols (Apache 2.0). Your use of any downloaded icon is governed by that icon set’s licence. These licences are permissive and allow commercial use. For a plain-language summary, see our icon licensing guide.
Brand names and logos remain the trademarks of their respective owners. You are responsible for using brand logos lawfully and honestly, and for not implying endorsement or affiliation where none exists.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use ICON OOP for any unlawful purpose, or to infringe the rights of others.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload or interfere with the site or its infrastructure.
- Use automated systems to scrape or bulk-harvest the site in a way that places an unreasonable load on it.
- Use brand logos in a misleading way, including to misrepresent affiliation with or endorsement by a trademark owner.
No warranty
ICON OOP is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every icon will always be available, since the icon files are served from third-party networks. We do our best to keep the catalogues accurate and current, but we cannot guarantee it.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ICON OOP and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or any downloaded icon. Your use of ICON OOP and of any icon you download is at your own risk, and it remains your responsibility to confirm that your intended use complies with the relevant licence and applicable law.
Third-party links and advertising
ICON OOP contains links to third-party websites and displays advertising served by third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of those third parties. Visiting external sites is at your own discretion.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The “last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of ICON OOP after a change means you accept the revised terms.
